Yuri K. Poluektov was born in January 1, 1933 in the village of Kur'i Sukholozhsky district of Sverdlovsk region. He studied at the Sverdlovsk art College named after I. D. Shadr (1950 – 1958). Since 1974 he is a member of the Russia Painters Union. Participant of numerous art exhibitions in Russia and abroad.
